Art and Design – Textile Design

Qualification: GCSE

Exam board: AQA

Pupils will create designs and products for woven, knitted, stitched, printed or decorative textiles that might have a functional or non-functional purpose. They will learn and use textile techniques and processes whilst using a variety of materials.

Assessment: There are two assessment components. They contribute different amounts to the overall grade.

Component one (60%): Portfolio
Component two (40%): Practical examination, 10 hours (over a two week period)
